Ground_RED is a reflection on the ground zero situation the world is actually going through – a RED landmark. It is about experiencing emergency at home, reflecting on the installed uncertainty, on the closure with indefinite time that pulsates under the red light of the ambulance. The rhythmic and repetitive soundscape is composed by the mechanical sound of the siren installed indoors, inside my home.
Ground_RED é uma reflexão sobre nosso Marco Zero hoje, um Marco VERMELHO.
Trata-se de viver a emergência dentro de casa, a reflexão sobre a incerteza instalada, a clausura com tempo indefinido que pulsa sob a luz vermelha da ambulância.
A sonorização rítmica e repetitiva é marcada pelo som mecânico da sirene instalada dentro de casa.
My collaboration invitation was for the artist and performer Cristina Elias who presents a performance based on Butoh.
It is worth understanding that Butoh has its origins in the post-World War II Japan, where the emergence of lacerated bodies was being experienced, being this, the very genesis of this "performance art". An art of connection in which the body, stripped of its usual forms of movement, recreates itself in the establishment of relations with the other and with the environment.
The red of the fire, of the living flesh, of the blood to the mechanical and uncomfortable sound of the siren are expressions of this same emergency, which in Ground_RED, are related to the movement of the enclosed body in the chaos of the pandemic.
Meu convite de colaboração foi para a artista Performer Cristina Elias que apresenta uma performance em Butô.
Vale entender que o Butô é uma dança com origem pós-segunda guerra Mundial onde se vivenciava a "emergência" de corpos dilacerados no Japão sendo esta a própria gênese dessa "performance art". Uma arte de conexão em que o corpo, despido de suas formas habituais de movimento, se recria no estabelecimento de relações com o "outro" e com o ambiente.
O vermelho do fogo, da carne viva, do sangue ao som mecânico e desconfortante da sirene são expressões dessa mesma emergência, que no trabalho, Ground_RED, se relacionam ao movimento do corpo enclausurado em meio ao caos da pandemia.
